Product review: Black dog wear whippet collar

Rory got this new collar from Black dog wear

It's the two-tone whippet collar in green

It features and adjustable webbing body in black and green, with a wide padded area on the front to protect delicate whippet necks. 

This martingale function minimizes the chances of the dog backing out of the collar. But because of this, it shouldn't be used as an all day tag collar or it may become dangerous. Although it does have a plastic ring for hanging tags off and the metal D ring on the martingale area is for attaching the leash to.

The collar is very well made and reasonably priced. It comes with a 6 month guarantee.

It looks really great too!

When walking, it was super secure and strong. 

Whilst we here at Zippy the Whippet do love this collar we were not paid to do this post, we bought the collar with ourselves and all opinions are our own.

Guess who was visiting next door today? ...TOBY! Super Excited!

Naughty Whippet was trying to dig up the lawn. 

For some reason Zippy has been digging in certain patches of next door's lawn and eating the grass roots. Please comment below if you have any theory as to why he is doing this.

Zippy Rory & Toby: Toby Makes Three

Toby has now made a second doggy friend! He has impeccable taste in friends now (both being Whippets). Toby wasn't quite sure of Rory at first... but they soon warmed to each other. Self centred Zippy was a bit jealous of his two best friends taking so much interest in each other and not him at first. The two stroppy Whippets made amends in the end.

Toby watches and barks encouragement as the big boys play rough. Toby tried to get involved, but ended up running for the safety of an upturned milk crate.

How can one small dog get so massively dirty!?

Car Trouble

What's more entertaining than a remote control car? A Whippet chasing a plush toy strapped to a remote control car!

It can't escape if the wheels are off the ground. 

When they say "all-terrain-vechicle" I don't think they factored in dog beds. 

Zippy and Rory: Brindle n' Blue Bros

Zippy's best friend Rory, the 2 year old blue Whippet, came over to visit today. Due to Rory's morning bin raid, he was feeling quite lethargic... not really up to the running and wrestling Zippy was hoping for. Rory has unfortunately "burst the seams" of his weight loss diet, much to his Mother's discontent. (Rory's a little bit chubby... by Whippet standards at least)
Even though Zippy was bit disappointed in Rory's lack of enthusiasm, they enjoyed each other's company whilst lazing around in the morning sun. 

A literal headBUTT! (head butt to the butt)

I never knew these guys were able to camouflage so well! Rory slipping into the shadows, Zippy flitting between shade and shade... Whippets can even romanticise camo! 

Zippy and Rory went to a favourite enclosed park later where they could have a good zoomies session. It was hilarious watching Zippy trying to knock over Rory to catch him. Rory gave up running after a while, but Zippy continued trying to tempt Rory into chasing him. Zippy wasn't done running yet!

Zippy and Toby: Bed Wars

As the saying goes "the fastest way to get a child's attention... is to sit down and look comfortable". The same can be said for puppies. Every time Zippy even thinks about lying down for a nap, Toby is all over him, yapping and nipping Zippy into retaliation.

Zippy and Toby: Too Much Love

Zippy the 8 year old Whippet, has just become the newest plaything of Toby. Toby is a 5 month old Maltese puppy being "puppy-sat" by the next door neighbour. Toby absolutely adores Zippy and like all puppies, Toby constantly wants to play... much to Zippy's displeasure. 

Even though they are polar opposites they manage the find moments of happiness and peace in the midst of the furry chaos.

Toby loves biting Zippy's tail, butt and paws. Ankle biter!
