Snorkelling Sighthound

One of Zippy's many talents is, believe it or not, snorkelling! After I learnt that he can hold his breath under water, I invented a new way of entertaining him on a hot day. Zippy is completely against getting wet the vast majority of the time, but on a hot day damp paws aren't such a bad thing.
I got out an old kiddies paddling pool, filled it with water and threw treats in the water for him to retrieve.

  2. What a cute picture. Our dogs have the Wicked Witch of the West Syndrome. They are convinced water will destroy them.

  4. That's brilliant! So you toss in treats that won't melt?

    1. Yeah, I use dried liver treats. They don't melt in the water and are usually just heavy enough to sink to the bottom of the pool.

  6. What a great idea for a dog that isn't fond of the pool. Nadie isn't a fan of ours either but Prince loves it. He also does not need extra treats right now so this is out but wonderful idea if it works with your dogs and situation :)
